The All Electric ⚡ Mercedes-Benz EQS 4MATIC® SUV from Calgary to Los Angeles
This summer my wife and I, along with our 3 children, and our dog traveled in an all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV from Calgary, Alberta to Los Angeles, California and back. The ultimate goal was to challenge the range anxiety that we all share when it comes to the ownership of an Electric Vehicle. We documented our entire trip and are releasing the series on YouTube starting September 7th 2023. These videos will highlight both the challenges and the advantages of the EQ technology.
Check out each Day of the trip in Chronological order starting from our Trailer

As the world continues to move towards more sustainable forms of transportation, electric vehicles (EVs) have become increasingly popular. Mercedes-Benz, one of the most well-known luxury car brands in the world, has also joined the EV revolution with their All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle. While this vehicle offers many benefits, it also comes with its own set of challenges and range anxiety.
One of the biggest challenges that come with owning an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle is finding charging stations. Unlike traditional gas stations that are readily available, charging stations for EVs are still relatively scarce. This means that planning your route and ensuring that you have enough range to get to your destination and back can be a challenge.
Another challenge that comes with owning an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle is the time it takes to charge. While it only takes a few minutes to fill up a traditional gas tank, charging an EV can take several hours. This means that you need to plan your charging times carefully to ensure that you have enough range for your next trip.
Range anxiety is also a common concern among EV owners, and it is no different for those who own an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle. Range anxiety refers to the fear of running out of battery power while driving, leaving you stranded on the side of the road. While the All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle has a range of up to 250 miles on a single charge, this can vary depending on driving conditions and other factors.
Despite these challenges, there are many benefits to owning an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle. One of the most significant benefits is the reduced environmental impact. EVs produce zero emissions, which means that they are much better for the environment than traditional gas-powered vehicles. Additionally, owning an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle can save you money in the long run since you no longer need to pay for gas.
Another benefit of owning an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle is the quiet and smooth driving experience. Since EVs do not have a traditional combustion engine, they are much quieter than traditional cars. This makes for a more relaxing and enjoyable driving experience.
In conclusion, while owning an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle comes with its own set of challenges and range anxiety, it also offers many benefits. As more charging stations become available and technology continues to improve, these challenges will become less of an issue. If you are considering purchasing an All Electric Mercedes-Benz EQ vehicle, it is important to weigh the pros and cons carefully to determine if it is the right choice for you.
