Dealership Transparency
The concept of dealership transparency extends to every facet of the dealership. Whether you are shopping on auto marketplaces, reading the local paper or magazines, visiting the manufacturer site or right here on a dealership site, dealership transparency is critical.

One of the most important things we can do with our clients is to be transparent. This includes, but is not limited to what we post online, say to you in person, how we respond to reviews and what we put in writing for you at the time of purchase or service.

Mercedes-Benz Downtown Calgary is one of few dealers that has implemented “No Fees. Full Transparency. No Surprises.” But, what does that mean for you? Whether we write it or tell you in person, it means that what you see is what you get. The price listed is plus taxes. That’s it. There are no extra fees or hidden costs. We don’t even charge a Business office fee for submitting and preparing all the paperwork you need for your insurance and bank, etc. This fee can be over $1000 at other dealerships. An interesting article references how the journey of an auto shopper is long and complex. Thousands of touchpoints are used, many of them several times throughout the journey. Auto marketplaces are diffuse; 89% of auto shoppers leverage auto marketplaces at some point in their auto shopping journey, playing an integral role in the auto shopper’s consumer journey.

This would includes sites like AutoTrader, CarGurus, Kijiji, etc. Advertising the vehicles we have for sale on the Online Marketplaces is nothing new. Why don’t we just list the vehicles we have for sale on our site? If people are searching for a Mercedes-Benz, we would like to believe they begin by typing our dealership name into a search engine like Google or Bing. Would it surprise you to know that people may not come directly to a dealership first and learn everything they want to know? Online Marketplaces are often seen as neutral and potentially more credible. There are many resources online for consumers, so it is critical that we are listed on those sites.
